Jake Oeth focuses his practice on all areas of criminal law, employment law, workers’ compensation, and personal injury law, including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa

Jake grew up in Ogden, Iowa. He graduated from Drake University Law School with honors in May 2018. While in law school, Jake was part of a group of students who helped a federal inmate successfully apply for a commutation of his life sentence for a drug conviction and served as a student attorney in the Drake Legal Clinic representing court-appointed criminal defendants.

Jake received his undergraduate degree in political science from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he played basketball for the Duhawks. After graduating from Loras College in 2009, Jake worked for Iowa’s U.S. Senator Tom Harkin in Washington, D.C, and later moved back to Iowa to work for U.S. Representative Bruce Braley in Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines and also served as the Iowa State Director for Martin O’Malley’s Presidential Caucus campaign in 2016.
